Ruche Waao
The understanding of reciprocities at work within nature urges man to define new territories, make room and accommodate space for nature. The hive is a space dedicated to the life of bees. Although destined to the production of honey, hives look more like production facilities devoid of animal identity.rnrnIn a fairer relationship, these new hives evoke the alveolar rays constructed by the swarm in nature without human intervention. A succession of stripes evolving as the swarm grows.rnrnThe hive object adopts the codes inscribed in nature, thus reconnecting more with its origins.rnrnOn the initiative of WAOO and the city of Lille, these hives are visible in the heart of the Botanical Garden of Lille. Furthermore, they value the work of the beekeeper and the school apiary, while highlighting the presence of nature in the city.
